​What is Cowboy Fast Draw?

​
Cowboy Fast Draw is one of the fastest growing cowboy shooting sports in the world. Participants dress in the 1800's period clothing and shoot .45 caliber western style single action pistols.   Shooters will come up with an alias.  We use shotgun primers with wax bullets.    The shooters shoot at a 17" disc from 15 ft away.  When the light in the center of the target comes on, the shooter draws his/her pistol from his/her holster, aims and hits the target while being timed to the thousandths of a second.   • January 22, 2025 is our next Wednesday night practice.  We will set up at 4:30PM and start shooting after that.

​​

       There is a marathon on Usery Pass on our regular February 1              scheduled  shoot.  Therefore, we have to change the date

       again because the road will be closed.

       Note change of date​ for February shoot.  

  • Friday, February 7, 2025, set up for Saturday shoot.  We will set up at 5:00 PM.  All help is appreciated.

  • Saturday, February 8 we will have our regular club shoot. Sign in at 8:00AM and shooter's meeting at 8:30AM and start shooting after that.  We finish the set up at 7:00AM.
